Standard vs. Upgraded Filter Classes by Model
Every CWL model follows the same pattern: a standard all-coarse set for everyday dust, and an upgraded set that swaps the supply-side filter for a finer class.
- Standard (G3+G3 or G4+G4) – general dust, pollen and plant debris filtration at the lowest cost per set.
- Upgraded (G3+M6 on the CWL-180; G4+F7 on the other three models) – adds fine-particle protection against pollen, pet dander, bacteria and smog on the supply side.
Matching Your Unit by Label or Measured Size
Because “CWL-300/400” and “CWL-F/T-300” sound alike but use different, non-interchangeable filters, always confirm your exact model from the unit’s label rather than guessing from memory. If the label isn’t legible, measure your current filter and match it against the sizes above.

What filter class is standard for Wolf CWL units?
It depends on the model. For each CWL unit we stock two versions:
- CWL-300/400 Excellent — G3+G3, or G3+F7
- CWL-180 Excellent — G3+G3, or G3+M6
- CWL-F-150 and CWL-F/T-300 Excellent — G4+G4, or G4+F7
The version with the finer supply filter (F7 or M6) is the better choice for pollen and fine dust.
