How do I identify the correct filter for my Blauberg unit?

Plus icon Close icon

Blauberg produces a broad range of residential and commercial ventilation units, so the model code on the unit's rating plate (usually near the electrical connection panel) is the quickest way to identify the correct filter set. If the plate is missing, filter dimensions in millimetres will narrow it down within our catalogue.

Do I need any tools or a technician to replace filters in a Blauberg unit myself?

Plus icon Close icon

No — most Blauberg residential units are designed for tool-free filter access:

  1. Open the front or side panel by hand
  2. Slide the old filter out
  3. Slide the new filter in and close the panel

The whole process typically takes a few minutes and doesn't require an installer visit.

How much can I save buying compatible Blauberg filters instead of manufacturer-branded originals?

Plus icon Close icon

Our ISO 16890-certified compatible filters for Blauberg units are generally priced well below manufacturer-branded originals, since you're not paying a premium for brand packaging. Filtration class, dimensions and airflow performance remain matched to the OEM specification, so the savings don't come at the cost of air quality.

Why do Blauberg filters sometimes vary between two units with the same model name?

Plus icon Close icon

Blauberg has periodically updated internal filter housings across production batches while keeping the same commercial model name. If your replacement filter doesn't fit despite matching the nameplate, checking the physical filter dimensions rather than relying on the model number alone will get you the correct fit.

What filter grade comes standard with Blauberg units?

Plus icon Close icon

Blauberg's residential heat recovery units typically ship with a G4 coarse filter on the extract side and an M5 filter on the supply side, giving solid protection against dust and larger particles at an accessible price point. Upgrading the supply filter to F7 is possible on most models for households wanting stronger allergen filtration.

Why do you only offer sets of 2 Blauberg filters instead of 3?

Plus icon Close icon

Initially, Blauberg MVHR units have three filters installed. The third filter is added temporarily during or shortly after construction to protect the main supply filter from construction dust and debris. It is intended to be removed once construction is complete and you move into the premises.

After that, the system is designed to operate efficiently with two filters: one for the extract air (stale indoor air going out) and one for the supply air (fresh air coming in). Using more than two filters during regular operation is unnecessary. So when replacing the filters, only the two main filters need to be changed.
