Standard M5/F7 filter media is rated for the temperature and humidity swings typical of Flexit's cold-climate S-series installations, so no special low-temperature filter is required. What matters more in these units is checking filters slightly earlier in winter, since higher sustained airflow can bring forward saturation.

Flexit's heat exchangers are optimised for sub-zero climates, and units often run at higher, more consistent airflow through cold months to maintain heat recovery efficiency. That steadier airflow can mean filters reach saturation a little sooner than in milder seasons, so a mid-winter check is worthwhile.

Flexit S-series units are engineered for cold-climate performance and typically pair an M5 extract filter with an F7 (ePM1) supply filter, giving strong protection against both coarse debris and fine airborne particles. This combination is standard across most current-generation Flexit installations.

We supply filters for Flexit's most widely used residential lines, including the S-series units commonly installed across Norway and other Nordic countries. The model designation is usually printed on the front panel label, directly above the filter access point.
