Some Atrea Duplex variants support an additional activated carbon filter layer on the supply side, which helps absorb traffic fumes, cooking odours and general VOCs before they enter the home. Many Atrea Duplex units accept both standard M5 and higher-grade F7/ePM1 filters in the same housing without any modification. If you or a family member suffers from pollen or dust allergies, upgrading the supply-side filter to F7 is one of the simplest performance upgrades available for these units.

Atrea's guidance for Duplex filters covers three checkpoints:

• Watch for the RD5/RD6 controller's on-screen maintenance reminder, which triggers once pressure drop across the filter rises
